Type Locality and Naming

Along the village of Khushikat, Zarafshan Valley. M.R. Jalilov, Yu.N. Andreev, F.Kh. Hakimov et al., 1971 (191, p.77). Stratotype in the area of the village of Khushikat, on the right bank of the Zarafshan River.

Synonym: Khushikat Suite, Хушикатская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Siltstones, reddish-brown and dark green clays with layers of white gypsum and limestones. Thickness 86-100m.


Lithology Pattern: 
Gypsiferous claystone


Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Kuruk Fm (see South Gissar column)

Upper contact

unconformably overlain by the Zavron Fm.
